Peaks and Plains

Saturday 3rd September

The Saab Owners Club North West Branch is once again organising its annual run with a new name, The Peaks and Plains. Crich tramway museum

This time we will be visiting Derbyshire and Cheshire in our 125 mile scenic drive with three stops along the way. First stop is a coffee stop in Haughton, next stop will be at Hack Green Nuclear Underground Bunker, please note there will be no food or drink available at this stop so please bring a packed lunch. Our final stop will be at Gawsworth Hall for aftern
oon tea and a tour around house.

Finally for those who wish to join us at Windy Harbour after the drive, there will be a buffet in the evening to finish the day off.

Another evening drive, this time to one of our favourite venues, The Knights Table, Quarnford, Buxton SK17 0SN.

This venue is situated at one of the highest points on the Buxton to Leek Road, on previous visits the buffet exceeds all expectations,

The Saab Owners Club North West Branch organised its annual Peaks and Dales Run around the Peak District. First stop The Crispin for coffee and cake, second stop Crich Tramway Museum where we were invited to park the vehicles inside the museum as a display. The last stop being at Arkwright Mill in Cromford for ice cream and a walk around the historic sight as well as displaying the cars inside the mill courtyard. We would like to thank Mike and Veronica for organising and running the event as they do every year and have done for the last 12 years.
