Nevs has paid its debts to the creditors

Nevs has made the second and last payment of the composition to the 106 creditors today with a total amount of 231 MSEK. This means that Nevs has no longer any debts to creditors.

Nevs exited the reorganization in April 2015 with a composition proposal approved by 98.2% of the creditors. According to the composition, the last payment of the debt should be made no later than October 14, 2015.

“Being debt-free gives us stability to continue our building relationships with industrial, financial and technological partners, who are significant when it comes to develop and implement our business plan. To be able to make these payments earlier than agreed was important for us”, said Mattias Bergman, President Nevs.

Birgitta Jäghem Löfving, who has been Nevs’ VP Human Resources since the beginning of the company in 2012 summer, will return to her previous consulting business.

As Birgitta’s successor, Anette Johansson is appointed as the new VP HR of Nevs. Anette’s recent assignment was HR Head of Negotiation at Göteborg Energi and prior to that, she held various HR consultant positions such as HR Director for Wärtsilä and Stena Stål. Anette has also previously worked as HR manager at Saab Automobile and Saab Automobile Powertrain.

Anette Johansson will begin at Nevs on Monday October 5, and co-work with Birgitta Jäghem Löfving who leaves on Friday October 16 for the handover procedure.

Nevs and Dongfeng tie-up for long-term strategic cooperation

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (Nevs) and Dongfeng Motor Corporation (Dongfeng) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on August 17, 2015 to achieve global industrial synergies.

Since July 2015, Nevs has started working with Dongfeng on complete vehicle development projects to enhance Dongfeng’s technical strength and improve Nevs’ own development capability. Now both parties have agreed to expand their cooperation from technical development to further business areas such as global purchasing and distribution network.

Dongfeng has formed several strategic long term partnerships with other international major car manufacturers including AB Volvo and as a 14 percent shareholder of PSA. Dongfeng Motor, with several JVs in China including Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Nissan, Infiniti, Honda and Kia, is one of the world’s largest automobile companies, with an annual output over 3.83 million units in 2014 and 1.83 million in the first half of 2015. Mr. Stefan Tilk has been appointed Vice Chairman of Nevs on an extraordinary general meeting.

Mr. Tilk has over 20 years of international industrial experience in the automotive industry, both as manager and as member of the board in different companies.

He has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics and worked as senior executive with roles around the globe for both Volvo Buses and Volvo Trucks. Mr. Tilk has also held Management and Board position in Geveko AB, Management Positions in ÅF Group and work with International Organizations.

At the same time the union representatives Ronnie Hermansson, Unionen, were appointed as the ordinary member, and Stefan Larsson, IF Metall, as deputy member of the board.
